Grevillia leucopteris is a type of grevillea that produces flowers on tall, leggy canes, away from its foliage. Also known as White Plumed Grevillea or "Old Socks," this native WA shrub has a rounded shape, soft furry-pink new growth, and ferny grey foliage. It's called "Old Socks" due to the scent of its flowers, which is said to resemble old dirty socks! The striking creamy white flowers bloom from pinkish buds on tall, leafless branches in spring to summer. Grevillea leucopteris is a great habitat plant, attracting honeyeaters and native bees throughout the flowering seasons. This structurally impressive plant is perfect for use as a hedge or screen, with its thick foliage and hardy nature.

Gastrolobium Brown Butterfly is a spectacular semi-prostrate shrub named for its unique foliage of dark bronze leaves with bright green edges. Brown Butterfly produces masses of vivid red pea flowers during the summer months that attract nectar-feeding birds to the garden. It is a ground-covering plant that is great for embankments, as a feature plant spilling over retaining walls or as a potted plant. Give it a light trim after a heavy flush of flowers and it will continue to thicken up as a ground cover.
