An absolute ripper of a shrub, Leptospermum Piccolo is an extremely hardy Australian native. This colourful and compact shrub is a great addition to courtyards and small gardens as it is positively smothered in crimson-coloured flowers during spring. The blooms attract a wide variety of native insects, which in turn, attract native birds and other wildlife. Light pruning will keep it compact and increase the flower display, and feed with a slow-release native fertiliser in spring or late summer. Banksia menziesii Dwarf is a dramatic dwarf banksia that is also known as the Firewood or Menzies Banksia. This beautiful plant is a stunning ornamental for the garden or pot as it has large, colourful flower heads and serrated grey to green coloured foliage. The large flowers begin pink/red changing to yellow as they open, making quite a show and attracting nectar-eating birds and bees.
