Metal Red Grevillea is a beautiful medium-sized shrub that flowers throughout autumn, winter and spring. The flower display is bountiful and features glossy metallic red flowers that attract both birds and bees. Metal Red will look amazing as a mass planting, or as a garden or pot feature. The species itself has proven to be particularly hardy, tolerating extended dry period, coastal and frosty conditions. 

Soil: Well-drained soil. If you have poorly drained soils, use mounds or raised garden beds.
Conditions: Full sun to part shade. Tolerates drought, coastal conditions and light frost.
Size: Height 1.5-2m x width 1.5-2m 

Crowea Rosey Star is a charming Australian native that will brighten your garden with bursts of pink, star-shaped flowers that appear almost year-round! Archontophoenix alexandrae, commonly known as the Alexandra Palm, King Palm or Feather Palmis, is a tall palm with a slender grey trunk covered in rings of leaf scars and enlarged at the base. It carries long, arching, elegant, mid-green fronds held as a crown on a slender trunk. In summer, cream to yellow flowers open in large sprays, followed by pinkish-red fruit. The Alexander Palm is commonly included in tropical gardens, used in avenue plantings, grown as a specimen, used to border an entranceway, or planted as a cluster for an impressive display.

Soil: Moist soil with added organic matter. It will tolerate some bogginess.
Conditions: Full sun. Frost tender, and protect from wind when young.
Size: Height 10m x width 5m

The Kentia Palm is a naturally elegant upright palm with beautiful, arching, dark green leaves. Regarded by many as one of the most attractive of all palm trees, the Kentia Palm is a native of Lord Howe Island. It can be grown as a container plant indoors as it will tolerate low light levels but will grow well in a bright indirect-morning-sunshine location. In the garden, it is naturally lower-growing, especially in a more open position where it does not need to reach for the light.

Soil: Humus-rich soil with good drainage.
Conditions: Indirect sunlight/ understory position. Coastal, wind and salt tolerant.
Size: It can grow to 15m tall, but in a garden situation it is usually smaller, to around 5m.
