It's so pretty, it almost seems impossible that Hydrangea macrophylla Mars exists! Each floret on the full mophead blooms is lushly saturated with deep pink or purple-blue, outlined by a white edge that makes it look like something out of a fairytale. The foliage is very dark green and deeply ribbed, completing the picture-perfect look. A classic choice for including in gardens and landscaping, Mars also makes a nice choice for low hedges and containers. 

Soil: Well-drained, loamy soil. The soil must be alkaline to produce continuous pink flowers, and acidic to produce blue. To increase alkalinity, add garden lime.
Conditions: Hydrangeas do not like hot, direct sunlight so plant with morning sunlight and partial shade in the later parts of the day. Frost and coastal tolerant.

Cornus florida Alba, commonly known as White Flowering Dogwood, is an elegant deciduous tree prized for its pristine white blooms. Caroline Blueberry is a Northern Highbush Blueberry - a deciduous, fruiting plant that is native to the colder areas of Canada & the United States. These varieties of blueberry plants perform well in Australia and provide a bounty of berries. Caroline is an early fruiting blueberry producing medium-sized, fragrant fruits with a beautiful sweet taste. It is a deciduous shrub with oval leaves, producing pretty bell-shaped white flowers in spring, followed by small blue-purple berries in summer. The leaves of Caroline take on attractive red-orange tones in autumn. Self-pollinating, but cross-pollination with another type with the same bloom time produces higher yields. Blueberries can produce an abundance of fruit over many months, keep them evenly watered with good drainage and use a low nitrogen fertiliser.

Soil: Well-drained acidic soil.
Conditions: It grows best in a sunny but protected position with some shade from the hottest afternoon sun during summer. Approximately 750-1200 hours chilling required for proper dormancy.

The Oak Leaf Hydrangea(Hydrangea quercifolia) is a white flowering large leaf shrub better suited to the Aussie climate, as it tolerates the heat and dryness of our summers better than other hydrangeas. The Oak Leaf Hydrangea features large green oak-shaped leaves that take on exceptional colours in the autumn months, and if that’s not enough, this beautiful hydrangea shows off stunning clusters of large white flowers, making this a shrub for all seasons. Oakleaf hydrangeas are best pruned immediately after flowering. This allows you to enjoy the beautiful blooms during the growing season, and pruning later in the season or in winter may remove the flower buds for the following year.

Conditions: Like all hydrangeas, this variety prefers morning sun and afternoon shade however it will not do well in heavy shade. Heat and coastal tolerant.

Vaccinium Brightwell Blueberry is a vigorous and adaptable Rabbiteye variety that produces abundant clusters of sweet, medium-sized fruit. Delicate white flowers appear in late spring to early summer, followed by a generous harvest of blueberries by mid to late summer. The foliage is lush green through the warmer months, transforming into a fiery red display in autumn. Ideal for gardens or container growing, this attractive shrub brings both beauty and productivity to any outdoor space — perfect for patios, decks, or small gardens. Prune in late winter or early spring to remove old or crossed branches and to encourage healthy new growth. Brightwell Blueberry requires cross-pollination for best fruiting, so plant it with another Rabbiteye variety such as ‘Powder Blue’.

Conditions: Full sun. This rabbiteye blueberry variety is cold-hardy, making it a good choice in areas with chilly winter weather. This cultivar is also heat and drought-tolerant, thriving in areas with intense summer weather.

A weeping maple from Japan, Nishiki Fountain is quite unique in the maple world. It has a strong pendulous growth habit that will hit the ground and then trail along as a ground cover!
