Westringia Mighty Bloom is a compact, hardy native shrub prized for its exceptionally large mauve flowers, which are almost twice the size of typical westringia blooms. Flowering from late winter through to late summer, the masses of soft mauve flowers with distinctive pink spotting contrast beautifully against dense olive-green foliage, creating a long-lasting display of colour. This versatile evergreen shrub is ideal for low hedging, screening, topiary work, coastal gardens, native landscapes, and container planting. Mighty Bloom responds well to pruning and can be lightly trimmed as needed to maintain shape and encourage dense growth. Apply a slow-release native fertiliser in spring to support healthy foliage and prolific flowering.

The Cherry Laurel is a popular evergreen shrub widely used for hedging and screening due to its dense growth and lush foliage. It features long, large, glossy emerald-green leaves that create a rich and formal appearance in the garden. In spring, the plant produces strongly scented creamy white flowers that form upright clusters, adding seasonal interest while attracting bees and butterflies. The plant responds well to trimming, allowing it to be shaped and maintained as a neat formal hedge or left to grow more naturally as a dense screen. The Cherry Laurel has the added advantage of being considered relatively fire-retardant due to its dense, moisture-rich foliage, making it a practical as well as attractive addition to the garden.
Soil: Most free-draining soil types.
Conditions: Full sun to part shade. Coastal, heat, and frost tolerant ( to -8C)
