Prunus avium Royal Crimson Cherry

Prunus avium Royal Crimson is a very sweet, low-chill cherry variety producing large, firm-fleshed fruit with a deep crimson-red colour when ripe. This PBR cultivar is ideal for warm temperate and cooler subtropical regions, thriving where traditional cherries struggle. Self-pollinating, it’s also an excellent companion for other low-chill varieties such as Minnie Royal and Royal Lee, helping boost overall crop yields. This self-fertile tree has an estimated chill requirement of just 200–300 hours and produces generous crops of delicious, richly flavoured cherries.
Fertilise at planting and again when new growth appears. Water regularly, especially in dry conditions. Prune at planting to promote strong branching and shape as the tree matures.

Conditions: Full sun. Frost tolerant.
