Leptospermum laevigatum Coastal Tea Tree
$28.00
Leptospermum laevigatum, commonly known as Coastal Tea Tree, is a hardy, evergreen Australian native shrub or small tree valued for its resilience in tough coastal environments. It features narrow, grey-green leaves and develops a dense, often twisting growth habit with attractive flaky bark. In spring to early summer, the plant is covered in masses of small, white, cup-shaped flowers that create a soft, natural display. Highly tolerant of salt spray, strong winds and sandy soils, Coastal Tea-Tree thrives in coastal gardens and exposed sites where many other plants struggle. Its dense foliage makes it ideal for use as a screening plant, informal hedge or windbreak, and it is also widely used for stabilising sand dunes and preventing erosion.
