With its visually arresting appearance, Banksia praemorsa will make a striking centrepiece for your garden. The large, serrated leaves, resembling green combs, are arranged in a spiral pattern, but the true showstopper is the unique inflorescence, a dense, cylindrical arrangement of bottlebrush flowers. These vibrant blooms, commonly in shades of orange and red, contrast beautifully with the green foliage, creating a spectacle of colour that attracts numerous pollinators, including birds, insects, and mammals. Fantastic as an ornamental in the garden, or as wind-break or coastal planting. Banksias are phosphorus-sensitive, so a good native fertiliser is best when it comes to feeding time.
