Rubus fruticosus Thornless Blackberry is a gardener’s delight — vigorous, productive, and easy to harvest without the worry of sharp spines. These hardy berry shrubs produce masses of sweet, dark purple to black fruits through mid to late summer, following a charming display of white or pink blossoms in late spring. The glossy, dark green foliage forms a dense, bushy plant that makes an attractive addition to the edible garden or a soft feature along a fence or trellis. The berries are perfect for eating fresh, adding to desserts, or turning into homemade jams and preserves.
