Listed as one of Flemings’ Top Ten Narrow Trees, Crimson Sentry is an attractive crimson/purple-foliaged small tree with dense, upright branching. It has a compact growth habit with large crimson leaves in summer turning to gold and orange in autumn. Due to its compact shape and slow growth, it is useful for small gardens and courtyards, avenues or large potted feature plants. This species is particularly hardy and low maintenance once established.

Acer rubrum October Glory, or Lipstick Maple, is spectacular in its autumnal colours. The exotic tree begins with green leaves in the spring and then displays a colour change to an exceptional dark pink/red during autumn. The undersides of the leaves join the party displaying grey in the spring to pink in the autumn. The uniform growth habit and superb autumn colour of the October Glory make it an ideal species for a specimen tree in public parks and gardens, streets and home gardens. Please note: foliage is toxic to horses.

The Autumn Blaze maple tree - Acer x freemanii Jeffersred - is a large, showy deciduous tree suited for public spaces, avenue plantings, and medium to large properties. Stunning vibrant green, maple-shaped leaves in summer months, turn a deep red in the autumn, providing an expansive show of colour. It makes an excellent shade tree and is perfect as a statement piece in large parks. The leaves are toxic to livestock so it is not suitable for grazing paddocks.

Acmena smithii Firescreen is an attractive, fast-growing native shrub/small tree. Firescreen has a dense growth habit and stunning glossy copper red new growth that fades to bronze. Allocasuarina verticillata, or the Drooping Sheoak, is a medium-sized tree featuring weeping dark green branches of fine needles. Native to Southeast Australia, it flowers pale brown from winter to early spring and also features small pine-like seed cones. One of the most handsome Australian tropical trees, Alloxylon flammeum, or the Tree Waratah, has a spreading habit of deep green, glossy foliage. This evergreen rainforest tree looks sensational in spring when it is covered with an abundance of magnificent red waratah-look-alike blooms. The bright flowerheads are like a beacon for honeyeaters. It is a hardy and adaptable tree for farms and parks.
