A classic variety of Camellia Japonica, Dr King produces large, single, vibrant red blooms with prominent yellow stamens, making them a standout flowering feature through the autumn and winter months. The striking red blooms are complimented by dark, glossy green foliage, and this medium-sized tree makes an attractive feature specimen. Be sure to fertilise during the growing period with acidic fertiliser products

Conditions: Prefers a sheltered location with partial shade, avoiding direct afternoon sun that can scorch its leaves and flowers. It thrives in environments protected from strong winds. Frost tolerant.

Brachyscome White Delight displays masses of snow-white flowers with yellow centres over an extended period. The brightness of the blooms brings a radiance to the garden landscape. The compact native ground cover is perfect on terraces, embankments and rockeries, and looks very pretty in pots and hanging baskets. It needs no other maintenance than a light trim if it starts to look untidy.

Azalea Kosmos is characterized by medium-green glossy evergreen foliage and dark pink, semi-double flowers with ruffled petal margins. With a compact, semi-upright habit, Kosmos brings its vivid blooms to life during spring and summer. A great choice for container growing, adding to a mixed planting, using in borders, planting around the base of larger trees, or planting anywhere a stunning plant is required.

Conditions: Full sun to part shade position. Will tolerate light frosty periods.

Alocasia amazonica Dwarf is an exotic foliage plant with elephant ear-like leaves and strong leaf-vein colour distinction. Alocasia foliage is elegant and striking, perfect for livening up indoor spaces and patio setting. Pop plants in a warm, well lit spot and watch them thrive. Suited to shady underplanting in tropical gardens. Repot during spring only if plants become rootbound, this is the ideal time to remove and repot any young shoots which have sprouted.

Soil: Alocasia plants thrive in free-draining soil. Check that pots have good drainage.
Conditions: Plant in a shaded location with plenty of filtered light or indirect sunlight. Likes moderate water and mist the leaves occasionally to keep pests at bay, but do not allow to sit in water. If planted outside, protect from frost.

Pittosporum eugeniodies, or Lemonwood, is a beautiful, shrub-like evergreen tree native to New Zealand. Cream-coloured, honey-scented flowers appear in spring and summer, drawing the bees and birds to the garden. The long, light green glossy leaves have a lemon scent when crushed. It is an attractive, quick-growing shelter, revegetation or hedging tree.

Conditions: Full sun. Drought, frost and coastal tolerant.

One of the smallest and latest flowering magnolias, Magnolia Royal Star is a charming, slow-growing deciduous shrub with a naturally spreading, rounded habit. New foliage emerges with a soft bronze tint, maturing to a deep, glossy green before turning warm shades of yellow to copper in autumn. In early spring, masses of fragrant, star-shaped white flowers—around 10 cm across—burst from furry grey buds, creating a striking display on bare branches. Ideal for informal hedging, woodland-style plantings, courtyards, and patio gardens, Royal Star is perfectly suited to smaller spaces. Prune lightly at planting to encourage bushier, vigorous new growth.

Conditions: Prefers full sun but will tolerate a partially shady location. Shelter from wind to protect flowers.

Leptospermum liversidgei, commonly known as Liversidge's Tea Tree, is a compact, evergreen shrub native to Australia, known for its stunning white or pale pink flowers that bloom in spring and summer. This hardy shrub features aromatic, narrow leaves and is ideal for creating a low hedge or adding texture to a garden. Leptospermum liversidgei thrives in full sun and well-drained, slightly acidic soils, and is drought-tolerant once established. It attracts bees and other pollinators, making it an excellent choice for wildlife-friendly gardens. With its dense foliage and beautiful floral display, it provides year-round interest and requires minimal maintenance.
