A fabulous variety of lilly pilly, Acmena smithii Purple Rain is an absolute showoff with masses of deep purple new growth changing to magenta and green as it ages. Hakea petiolaris or 'Sea Urchin Hakea' is a large shrub to small tree, reaching heights of 2 to 9 metres. Its flowers bloom from late autumn through early winter, appearing in globular clusters reminiscent of sea urchins. Initially creamy-coloured, the perianth darkens with age, while the styles remain cream, creating a striking contrast. These flowers are followed by large woody pods.
This variety thrives in various soil types, including sandy, loamy, sandy loam, and clay loam. It can even tolerate poor soil conditions. Hakea 'Sea Urchin' prefers a sunny position but dislikes excessive humidity, which can make it susceptible to root rot. It demonstrates moderate frost tolerance.

Corymbia maculata - Spotted Gum - is a large native tree with a tall, straight trunk with a beautiful mottled camouflage appearance as old bark sheds in summer. Foliage is dark green and glossy with small, fragrant white flowers right through autumn and winter. The blossoms produce good quality pollen for bees, nectar for honeyeaters, and leaves are favoured by koalas. Excellent for screening, shade, or as a specimen tree, revegetation and koala habitat. Good paddock tree as the thick bark resists gnawing.
