Acacia baileyana, or Cootamundra Wattle, is an iconic Aussie native. It is easily identified by its feathery blue-grey foliage as well as the iconic golden pom pom flowers. The tree produces profuse sprays of these small globular flowers in late winter to early spring providing a striking contrast against the backdrop of the soft silver-blue foliage. This species can be used as a beautiful feature tree, paddock tree, roadside tree and is great for erosion control. They are ideal as cut flower and as bird nesting habitats. Keep separate from natural bushland as it can self-seed.

Instead of foliage, this remarkable shrub forms a dense network of blue-green, wiry branchlets that twist and weave into a naturally artistic shape. Despite its fierce, spiky appearance, the branches are surprisingly soft to the touch, giving it an intriguing contrast between look and feel.
