Leptospermum brachyandrum, the Silver Weeping Tea Tree, is a graceful small tree recognised for its softly cascading branches and shimmering silver foliage. In spring, it lights up with masses of delicate white flowers, creating a gentle, airy display. One of its most charming features is its bark: as the outer layer sheds, the trunk reveals beautiful tones of pink, grey and copper that add year-round visual interest.
Naturally suited to creek lines and riverbanks where periodic flooding occurs, this tea tree is also surprisingly adaptable, coping well with drier garden settings.
