It's so pretty, it almost seems impossible that Hydrangea macrophylla Mars exists! Each floret on the full mophead blooms is lushly saturated with deep pink or purple-blue, outlined by a white edge that makes it look like something out of a fairytale. The foliage is very dark green and deeply ribbed, completing the picture-perfect look. A classic choice for including in gardens and landscaping, Mars also makes a nice choice for low hedges and containers.
Soil: Well-drained, loamy soil. The soil must be alkaline to produce continuous pink flowers, and acidic to produce blue. To increase alkalinity, add garden lime.
Conditions: Hydrangeas do not like hot, direct sunlight so plant with morning sunlight and partial shade in the later parts of the day. Frost and coastal tolerant.

Sterling Silver is a striking, spring-flowering acacia - a dwarf shrub form of the Coastal Myall Wattle. The broad silver leaves are a definite highlight making it an excellent foliage contrast to the bright yellow blooms in early spring. Fertilise every six months with a slow-release Australian Native feed for best results.

This dense-growing leucospermum turns heads with soft mid-green foliage and an explosion of vivid red pincushion flowers throughout spring. Bright, bold and impossible to ignore, it brings serious colour and texture to garden beds, feature plantings and statement pots alike. Use it as a striking feature shrub, plant en masse for maximum impact, or shape it into a vibrant hedge or border. The nectar-rich blooms are also a magnet for birds and pollinators — and they make exceptional long-lasting cut flowers indoors too.
