Syzygium Toffee Apple is a striking Australian native shrub renowned for its colourful foliage and naturally dense, compact growth habit. Fresh new growth emerges in rich burgundy and deep red tones, reminiscent of a classic toffee apple, before gradually maturing to glossy deep green. The vibrant foliage display is at its most spectacular in spring, although regular pruning will encourage repeated flushes of colourful new growth throughout the year. Syzygium Hinterland Gold is a fast-growing, dense lilly pilly with mid-sized glossy green leaves that develop a lovely coppery hue in the new growth.
