Ground Covers

Grevillea Mello Yellow is a spectacular form of the woolly grevillea which is a superb plant for cooler climates such as the southern states of Australia. Mello Yellow is a reliable evergreen with deep-green narrow leaves and a neat compact growth habit. Pale, custard-yellow flowers appear in autumn and continue blooming through to mid-spring.
It's a little shy to flower when young, compared to other mini grevilleas, but worth the wait for the unusual flower colour. Mello Yellow is happy in coastal and seaside gardens, windy locations, rockeries as well as window boxes and containers. Once established it is a very low-maintenance plant drawing bees and native birds to the garden.

Hardenbergia Sweet Heart is a vigorous climber or groundcover, producing masses of purple pea-shaped flowers in spring. A feature of Sweetheart is the large heart-shaped leaves that help form a dense cover. Hardenbergia Sweet Heart is such a versatile native - train it as a climber to provide a quick screen on fences and pergolas, grow it as a dense ground cover to cascade down banks or walls, or plant it in pots on the deck.

Scaevola Pink Perfection is a beautiful and rapidly growing native ground cover that features lush green foliage. During spring, summer and autumn, Pink Perfection provides a glorious display of color with masses of pink, fan-shaped flowers that adorn the groundcover and provide a feast for native bees and butterflies. A small scrambling shrub with beautiful lilac/violet coloured pea shaped flowers, Hardenbergia violacea Bliss is part of the family known as the Coral Pea or False Sarsparilla. Leathery dark green foliage offsets the vibrant purple flowers creating a colourful display during the cooler months. If left unsupported Bliss will grow into a loosely shaped shrub. Bliss shows off a vigorous growth habit and is a useful plant for growing on pergolas, trellises and fences, or simply let it spread into a creeping ground cover.
