The Goji Berry is native to the Himalayas and inner Mongolia, where it has been utilised in food and medicine for thousands of years. The plant is a deciduous, long living perennial that develops a trunk with multiple fruit-bearing branches through summer and autumn. The fruits are small, shiny red oval berries with edible seeds in the centre. They have a juicy taste comparable to cranberries or tangy plums. The goji berry responds well to pruning after fruiting which helps keep its sprawling habit under control.

Buxus sempervirens Variegata, or Variegated Box, is a variety of box with an upright, vigorous habit. Variegata features small, mid-green leaves with cream-white edges on new growth aging to become a darker green. Variegata is ideal for topiary, trimming into a formal hedge, maintaining in a container, or including in a mixed planting. For a box hedge, space plants 30 cm apart.

Grevillea Pink Pixie develops a low spreading habit producing soft dark pink flowers amongst distinctive needle-like foliage. It is ideal for screening, informal hedging, and feature planting. Originating from the famous Knott's Berry Farm in California, the superb hybrid Rubus ursinus x. idaeus Boysenberry is a complicated cross between a blackberry, loganberry, dewberry and raspberry!  It is vigorous and a prolific cropper. White flowers in early spring are followed by large firm conical dark purple blackberries. The fruit is round to oblong in shape and dark purple in colour. They have a unique flavour that combines the tartness from good old-fashioned wild blackberries with a sweet hint of raspberry. Train on wires as you would raspberries, as a fan, or even over an arch. Prune after harvesting in summer or autumn, by cutting the fruited canes down to the ground. When the new canes start growing the following spring and summer, tie them onto their supports. Self-fertile

Commonly known as the Prickly Rasp Fern, Doodia aspera is a native woodland fern found along the east coast of Australia. Naturally compact, it spreads slowly via underground rhizomes, gradually forming dense clumps over time. One of its standout features is its striking new foliage, which emerges in shades of pink to bright red before maturing to a mid-to-deep green. Although the Prickly Rasp Fern is an evergreen plant, many gardeners prune the old growth away at the end of winter to allow the new growth to show itself off. Just make sure you prune back before the new growth shoots. Prickly Rasp Fern is ideal as a ground cover in shaded garden areas or as an understory plant in woodland gardens.
