Solanum Pepino Gold is a member of the potato family, yet it has a delicious, subtle flavoured fruit similar to a honeydew or rockmelon. The bush produces clusters of purple and white flowers, which look like those of the potato, at the end of the stems. Pepino Gold produce very pale green fruit which, as they grow larger and mature, develop purple stripes. At maturity, the fruit is a deep yellow. Perfect for adding to ice cream or fruit salad, as well as a great chutney or sauce. Pepino grows in a sprawling habit and makes an excellent ground cover plant. It tends to fruit better when grown over a trellis. 

Soil: Rich, composted soil.
Conditions: Grow in a position with full sun to partial shade. Varieties grown for their fruit perform best in warm conditions. In regions with cool summers, they are best grown in a greenhouse or other protected, warm location.

Asplenium nidus Bird’s Nest Fern is a lush, tropical evergreen fern admired for its broad, glossy green fronds that radiate in a graceful rosette, creating a natural “nest” shape. Native to the rainforests of Indonesia, Malaysia, and Australia, it grows as an epiphyte, often perched on tree trunks where it absorbs moisture and nutrients from the air and organic debris caught in its fronds. Its leathery, bright green fronds resemble smooth banana leaves, each marked by a bold black midrib and gently wavy margins that give the plant a sculptural, architectural beauty. The central rosette collects fallen leaves and water, allowing the fern to form its own natural compost—one of the reasons it’s so resilient in humid environments.

The Pacific Maidenhair Fern is a graceful fern with lacy, spreading, fresh green fronds on thin black stems. They're considered hardy ferns, rather than ferns preferring steamier conditions, but don't let the description fool you. Maidenhair ferns can be difficult to keep healthy indoors, as they're quite particular about their growing conditions. The most important environmental factor is humidity—it thrives on moisture and needs a lot to survive, which can often be difficult to achieve in indoor environments. Pacific Maidenhair likes high humidity so you'll want to mist the foliage regularly if you aren't growing it in a humid environment. Ideal as a houseplant in hanging baskets, pots, ferneries and conservatories. Remove spent fronds and apply liquid fertiliser regularly to encourage lush new growth. Do not allow the soil to become soggy.

Soil: Moist, humus-rich and well-drained soil. Keep soil moist at all times and increase humidity by regular misting.
Conditions: Prefers a position with shade or dappled shade. When grown as a houseplant - choose a well-lit, airy position with high humidity.
