It's so pretty, it almost seems impossible that Hydrangea macrophylla Mars exists! Each floret on the full mophead blooms is lushly saturated with deep pink or purple-blue, outlined by a white edge that makes it look like something out of a fairytale. The foliage is very dark green and deeply ribbed, completing the picture-perfect look. A classic choice for including in gardens and landscaping, Mars also makes a nice choice for low hedges and containers.
Soil: Well-drained, loamy soil. The soil must be alkaline to produce continuous pink flowers, and acidic to produce blue. To increase alkalinity, add garden lime.
Conditions: Hydrangeas do not like hot, direct sunlight so plant with morning sunlight and partial shade in the later parts of the day.

These vibrant trees have gorgeous white blossoms in spring that give way to round/ heart shaped cherries ready for picking in summer. The self-fertile, miniature variety has been developed for the smaller garden and is perfect for pots, patios or courtyards. Toona ciliata Australian Red Cedar is a fast-growing, majestic tree with a spreading habit. Renowned for its dark red fragrant timber, Toona ciliata displays grey textured bark, russet red new foliage, and sprays of small, white aromatic flowers. In sheltered forested areas it will grow a straight trunk, but in more open surroundings it grows shorter and more spreading, creating a good summer shade tree. The seeds are light and have papery wings which help them to fly on the breeze once the seed capsules open in summer. Red Cedar is a perfect paddock tree due to its size and shade capabilities.

The macadamia integrifolia is a small to large tree that bears decorative trusses of pendulous fragrant cream flowers from the end of winter through to spring. Macadamia nuts are slow to ripen, taking just over 6 months from when the intensely fragrant white flowers first bloom in the spring. Mature nuts will fall off the tree when they’re ready and should be collected off the ground as soon as possible. Expect a long harvest period, lasting from around March until June. It’s an ideal central feature, shade tree, or part of a large and lush landscape
