Harvesting occurs in mid to late summer, making it a reliable mid-season fruiting variety. The plums are excellent for eating fresh straight from the tree and are also well suited to preserving, stewing, and making jams. Heavily curled green leaves bring remarkable texture and architectural form to Acer palmatum Shishigashira, commonly known as the Lion’s Head Maple. An elegant feature tree that offers structure, texture and seasonal colour in even the most compact spaces.
