Banksia

Banksia Coastal Cushion is a quick-growing, dense, low-growing banksia that flowers prolifically throughout autumn and winter, bringing vibrant colour to the garden when many other plants are slowing down. Banksia Honey Cones Banksia is a compact, hardy Australian native shrub renowned for its masses of golden-yellow flower spikes and fine, dark green needle-like foliage. The spectacular blooms appear mainly in autumn and winter, attracting birds, bees, and other pollinators to the garden. This variety has a dense, rounded growth habit making it ideal for rockeries, native gardens, mass plantings, or decorative containers on patios and verandas. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain a compact shape and encourage new growth.

Banksia grandis, also known as Bull Banksia, is an iconic Western Australian shrub renowned for its spectacular yellow flower heads and large, toothed foliage. Standing tall as a small tree or large shrub, it serves as a striking feature in any garden, particularly suited for coastal areas. With a height range from 5 to 10 metres, some specimens can even reach up to 15 metres under optimal conditions.  Although it is slow to flower, the wait is well worth it for the stunning foliage. It is phosphorus sensitive, thus benefiting from a good native fertiliser during feeding time.

Banksia Bold & Gold is a small bushy upright form of spinulosa. With fine green serrated foliage and large upright yellow banksia flowers during autumn to spring, Bold & Gold blooms on mass to make a stunning display. As with all banksias, it is a food source for native birds and bees and will make a fine, low-growing screen or windbreak.
