It is an attractive tufting rush with greenish-grey foliage that forms dense clumps of tall, upright grass. The perennial forms red-brown, velvet like flowers at the end of each grass blade. Meeboldina Scariosa is ideal for mass plantings, screens and around wetlands such as ponds or river beds. Ideal for seasonally wet depressions, shallow areas, and roadside swales. The flowers can also be cut and used in arrangements.
