Semi-dwarf Gala apple is a deciduous tree with pinkish-white flowers in spring followed in late February by medium-sized round fruit with red striping on the skin. It is firm, crisp and juicy with a sweet flavour. The fruit is delicious eaten fresh and cooked for desserts. Fruit can be stored for up to six months. Some cross-pollinators are Granny Smith, Red Delicious, Pink Lady, Red Fuji and Lady Williams.
