Leptospermum liversidgei Mozzie Blocker is a small airy shrub with citronella lemon-scented slender foliage, tinted copper-orange when new. This cultivar reputedly vaporises citronella into the atmosphere to repel mosquitos - crushing the foliage will release more of the oils contained in the leaves. With long clusters of small pink-white tea-tree flowers during summer, Mozzie Blocker is a lovely ornamental plant for the backyard. Ideal planted around entertainment areas to repel mosquitos and other insects. Plant as hedging or screening around decks, pools, barbeque areas, or indoors as needed.
