Hydrangea quercifolia Pee Wee
$45.00
Hydrangea Pee Wee is a compact form of the popular Oak Leaf Hydrangea, prized for its beautiful flowers, striking foliage, and manageable size. Ideal for smaller gardens, courtyards, shaded borders, and decorative containers, this deciduous shrub delivers year-round interest with its elegant blooms and spectacular autumn colour. During summer, Pee Wee produces large conical flower heads that can reach up to 30cm long and 15cm wide. The flowers emerge in creamy white lace-cap form and gradually develop soft pink tones as they age, extending their ornamental appeal well into the season. The deeply lobed leaves are rich green throughout spring and summer before transforming into brilliant shades of crimson, red, orange, and yellow in autumn. This exceptional seasonal colour display is one of the plant’s standout features, with the leaves often remaining on the shrub until late winter. Regular watering during dry periods and a layer of mulch will help maintain healthy growth and flowering.
