Hydrangea petiolaris Climbing Hydrangea
$56.00
Hydrangea petiolaris, or Climbing Hydrangea, is a stunning, self-clinging climber that produces masses of beautiful, fragrant, pure-white lacecap flowers from late spring through summer. The large, flattened flower heads can reach up to 20cm across and look spectacular against the backdrop of its glossy, dark-green, heart-shaped foliage. The flowers remain white to creamy-white as they mature, sometimes developing attractive green or antique coppery tones. As an added bonus, the foliage turns lovely buttery-yellow shades in autumn, providing another season of interest. Perfect for covering walls, fences, pergolas and other garden structures, this wonderful climber attaches itself naturally without the need for tying or support. Unlike other Hydrangeas, the blooms do not change to pink or blue with soil pH.
