Hydrangea Oregon Pride is a distinctive mophead hydrangea, prized for its unusual dark red stems, mid-green foliage and spectacular 15–20cm flower heads. The blooms range from deep violet and lilac through to rich pink and cherry tones, with soil pH influencing the final colour. With its vigorous, upright habit and bold colouring, Oregon Pride makes a striking garden feature, yet remains compact enough for containers. The dark stems are particularly eye-catching and can also be cut for flower arrangements. Flowers develop on last season’s growth, so prune immediately after flowering to maintain a bushier, more compact shape.
