Gleditsia triacanthos var. inermis Elegantissima

The beautifully elegant gleditsia, Elegantissima offers year-round appeal. Its' fine, bright green foliage brings a soft, airy texture to the garden, transforming to a vibrant golden yellow in autumn before falling. The attractive grey-brown bark, marked with long, narrow ridges, adds further interest throughout the year. With its almost shrub-like form and manageable mature size, this variety is perfect for courtyards and small gardens. It also makes an excellent potted specimen, light screen or feature tree, and performs well in streetscapes.
