Dianella Tasred is a compact Australian native with bright green and red strap-like leaves. In cooler weather, the red tones radiate from the plant's crown into the leaf margins; while spring brings a show of rich blue flowers and purple berries. Its dense and tidy appearance ensures its place as a beautiful border plant for the landscape gardener. Dianella Tasred is described as an ornamental flax and is an ideal waterwise plant for any commercial or domestic planting and looks great when mass planted. The native requires fertilising once in spring to ensure thick, healthy and colourful growth.
