Cedrus atlantica (Atlas Cedar) is a stately evergreen conifer initially conical in shape and then developing a broad crown in maturity. Wide spreading branches are covered with attractive, silvery blue-green needles and attractive pine cone seeds. The Atlas Cedar produces an aromatic oil that is a natural insect deterrent.
Soil: Prefers moist, well-drained, deep loamy soil but tolerates clay soil.
Conditions: Full sun. Heat, coastal and drought tolerant. Protect from hot winds.
