Pot Size
Catalpa bignonioides Nana is hardy, globe-headed cultivar propagated onto a ‘standard’ which forms a natural ‘umbrella’ shape. This grafted form of the Indian Bean Tree - as it is known - has slow-growing, dense branches forming a rounded ball of large mid-green heart-shaped leaves that turn yellow in autumn. Nana rarely flowers though long, bean-like seed pods may be produced. Useful as a small feature or for planting in streets, courtyards and other paved areas.

Soil: Well-drained and well-worked soil.
Conditions: Full sun. Protect from strong winds as branches are quite brittle. Highly tolerant of urban pollution. Frost and drought tolerant.
Size: Height 1.2m x width 1m
