Bunchosia Peanut Butter Fruit is a fascinating and unusual fruit tree that is sure to be a talking point in the garden! Native to Venezuela and Colombia, this attractive evergreen produces clusters of cheerful yellow flowers, followed by an abundance of eye-catching dark red fruit up to around 2.5cm long. The real surprise comes when the fruit ripens, revealing rich, sweet, dense flesh with a texture and flavour reminiscent of peanut butter, along with a distinctive peanut butter-like aroma. The fruit is delicious eaten fresh and can also be blended into creamy milkshakes or made into jams, jellies and preserves.
