Acer palmatum dissectum Brocade

The Brocade Maple is a dwarf size Japanese Maple with a superb spreading habit. Its beautiful lace-leaf foliage is the focal feature of this tree. New growth on Brocade is a bright orange-red, maturing to dark red. The dark red matures to red-green, with orange-red new growth reappearing in summer. In autumn Brocade changes its foliage to bright orange-red. For a more dramatic effect, consider staking Brocade to a height of 90–120 cm, allowing the branches to cascade downward and form a lush carpet at its base.
