Leptospermum obovatum Starry Night is a graceful weeping shrub with soft dark purple-almost black foliage and purple-pink young stems. The large white cup-shaped flowers attract butterflies and small birds that love to forage amongst the blossoms. Plant Starry Night as an eye-catching specimen in a paved courtyard, an informal screen against a wall or fence line, or as a medium-sized hedge. The dark foliage adds interest all year round and acts as a great contrast plant in gardens and landscaping.

Conditions: Full sun or full shade. Frost, drought, sea spray and coastal tolerant.

The Blue Rose Blueberry is an excellent variety with beautiful reddish autumn foliage and large fruit. It produces fruit during the summer and the ripe fruit is delicious when picked right off the bush. It is self-fertile but will have a greater yield when pollinated by another variety.

Citrus junos Yuzu is a small, yellow citrus fruit native to Asia -it resembles a small lemon or a yellow clementine and features uneven, bumpy skin that sets it apart from other fruits. Growing on a small, upright shrub/tree the leaves are evergreen and create a lush appearance, while the branches have sharp thorns that you’ll need to look out for! The taste of the Yuzu is quite unique - best described as a combination of lemon and mandarin orange, with a dash of lime and grapefruit. It is rarely eaten as a fresh fruit but is renowned for its juice and zest, which impart a unique and refreshing touch and complement a range of flavours. From desserts to sauces, Asian entrees to select cocktails, Yuzu adds a bold touch to a diverse range of dishes

Conditions: Full sun. Yuzu is incredibly hardy, more so than other citrus, and does well in many climates. Protect from wind.

Bracteantha Elite Citrine is a vision with glorious, deep-gold-yellow paper-like daisies. Profusely flowering through-out September to May, Elite Citrine will continue to flower if trimmed after a flush is completed. Everlasting daisies, known as strawflowers, are native perennial wildflowers that grow quickly and easily to provide bursts of vibrant colour over a long season. The abundant blooms are great for cut flowers and dried flowers will last for years. The evergreen paper daisies are excellent for landscapes, rockeries and containers.

Soil: Tolerant of poor soils. Requires good drainage.
Conditions: Sunny positions. Drought tolerant and can tolerate light frosts.

Banksia plagiocarpa, or Hinchinbrook Banksia, Blue Banksia or Dallachy's Banksia, is restricted to Hinchinbrook Island in northern Queensland and the adjoining mainland close to the coast. It is a rare species of banksia displaying stunningly attractive blue-grey flowers, growing 5-6 cm in diameter. Banksia plagiocarpa delights from mid-summer to early winter with its unusual cylindrical flower spikes. The new growth is rusty red and covered in red velvety fur. This species will form a nicely shaped shrub and may get sparse and leggy if not pruned. As with all banksia they attract birds and small mammals for their nectar.

Soil: Well-drained and/or sandy soils.
Conditions: Open sunny position. Coastal tolerant and tolerant to high humidity. Grows well on a slight slope.

An outstanding new camellia sasanqua, Slimline Avalanche is upright and slender and will flower all autumn long with lightly perfumed, double-white blooms. Prostanthera incisa, or Native Thyme or Cut Leaf Mint Bush, is a highly ornamental shrub with an openly branching habit that stands strong and erect. This overlooked but beautifully ornamental shrub is considered to be our own native Australian thyme. With an enticing aroma likened to rosemary, lemon, mint and pepper, Native Thyme is a ‘bouquet garni’ of all your favourite herbs in one plant. Ideal for edible hedges or container gardens. It has historically, and remains, an iconic part of bush tucker planting.
