Bring an eye-catching pop of colour to the garden with Bibiani Rhododendron. A profusion of deep, rich red blooms covers the dark green, heavily textured foliage during spring. A vigorous and easily grown plant, Bibiani is ideal as a screen, as a backdrop to smaller plants and as a specimen plant.
Note: Toxic to horses.

Soil: Requires well-drained, humus-rich, acidic soil.
Conditions: Sunny position but prefers dappled shade. Frost and coastal tolerant.

Australis Passion is a rare compact protea with creamy pink feathery flower bracts surrounding a dark centre. The protea flowers from autumn to spring; providing a stunning splash of colour to the garden during the colder months and supplying food for birds and bees. Plant as a feature, into tubs, shape into a low hedge or mass plant for a stunning effect. As with all proteas, Australis Passion is a fantastic cut flower. Be sure to use a native soil mix when planting. Exotic potting mix or exotic fertiliser will kill them.

Leptospermum Lipstick is a beautiful evergreen shrub with tiny aromatic leaves crowded along the stem. From spring through summer, Lipstick will be smothered in a profusion of bright pink flowers making this delightful shrub a glorious feature. The flowers are nectar-rich, attracting native birds, bees and butterflies to the garden. Pruning after flowering will increase the density, making it suitable as a screening plant.

The long-lasting bright carmine flowers appear on Leptospermum Riot in spring, making it a real celebration of the season. Leptospermum, also known as Tea Tree, is an extremely hardy Australian native shrub and is suitable for many climates. Leptospermum Riot attracts birds and butterflies and is a great fast-growing screening plant as it has a naturally dense growth habit.

Soil: Will tolerate a wide range of soils.
Conditions: Full sun to part shade. Tolerates frost, drought and coastal conditions.

Gastrolobium Brown Butterfly is a spectacular semi-prostrate shrub named for its unique foliage of dark bronze leaves with bright green edges. Brown Butterfly produces masses of vivid red pea flowers during the summer months that attract nectar-feeding birds to the garden. It is a ground-covering plant that is great for embankments, as a feature plant spilling over retaining walls or as a potted plant. Give it a light trim after a heavy flush of flowers and it will continue to thicken up as a ground cover.

Camellia sasquana Paradise Green Tea is a large, slow-growing evergreen shrub with leathery, dark green glossy leaves. Fragrant white blooms adorned with golden stamens appear in autumn and early winter, providing a vital food source for bees. Paradise Green Tea is not only a stunning plant - its young leaves can be harvested to make green tea. The leaves are quickly steamed, and then heated and rolled before drying. The rapid steaming process preserves the colour as well as the large amount of antioxidants. However, if tea is not your thing, plant this lovely camellia to create a beautiful hedge that can be grown to any height and it will enhance the surroundings with its smooth, evergreen leaves and pretty flowers. Tea plants also grow well in large pots or containers, but they still require acidic, well-mulched, and well-drained soil.

Soil: Moist, humus-rich soil.
Conditions: In most home gardens, the best position is in dappled shade, as it provides some protection from frosts and the hot sun, which can burn the new leaves.
Size: Height 4m x width 3m (In commercial production, the height is kept at less than 1m for easy harvesting).

Grevillea Flowerful is a delightful compact, evergreen native with soft-green narrow foliage and a bountiful display of bright red and yellow spider flowers throughout winter and spring. As with all grevilleas, Flowerful will attract native birds and bees and provides shelter for lizards, frogs and insects. Crackles is ideal for colourful mass planting, rockeries, or containers. Due to its compact size, Flowerful is perfect for the smaller gardens where size is all important.

Acmena Orange Crush is a psyllid-resistant variety of Lilly Pilly with spectacular orange-coloured new growth. The glossy foliage slowly matures to a mid-green. Fluffy white flowers appear in spring, followed by purple berries - both are a food source and habitat for native wildlife. Suitable for screens, hedging and topiary, a naturally dense compact growth habit means pruning is not usually required.

Soil: Well-drained soil.
Conditions: Full sun to part shade. Adaptable to most Australian climates - protect from frost.
