Viburnum Dense Fense is a large dense, fast-growing, evergreen shrub with clusters of small white fragrant flowers in spring. This compact viburnum displays thick green foliage with reddish new growth. Dense Fense viburnum is ideal for screening hedges as well as a small feature tree or a patio pot plant Prune when required to keep the desired shape.

Soil: Well-drained, humus-rich soil.
Conditions: Full sun to part shade. Drought and light frost tolerance.

Tasmanian lanceolata Mountain Pepper is a tall, native evergreen shrub or small tree. This lovely example of a bush food plant occurs naturally in the cool, temperate rainforest areas of Tasmania, Victoria and New South Wales. It has distinctive reddish branches and smooth, narrow green leaves. Its creamy flowers appear in small clusters in September, with the female tree producing dark red berries that turn black when ripe in around March or April. The leaves have a hot flavour when chewed, and the berries are enjoyed by native birds. Both the leaves and berries can be dried and used as a cooking spice, and when milled, the hardened berries make for a terrific substitute for conventional pepper. Give it a feed with organic slow release fertiliser in early spring and late autumn.

Please note: You’ll need both a female and male plant to produce fruit. 

Soil:  Choose a free draining spot and prepare the site with compost and manure, then mulch well after planting to keep the soil moist. 
Conditions: Plant in a sheltered site that is either in dappled shade or receives morning sun. Frost, wind and cold tolerant.
Size: Height 3-5m x width 2-3m. The tree can grow to 10m in native habitats.

Syzygium Pink Tips is a beautiful Australian native shrub prized for its dense, graceful weeping habit and vibrant flushes of bright pink new growth. The evergreen foliage provides year-round interest, with fresh pink leaves gradually maturing to glossy green. In spring, clusters of delicate white flowers appear, attracting pollinators, followed by attractive pink edible berries in summer that are enjoyed by birds and can also be eaten fresh. Versatile and easy to grow, Syzygium Pink Tips is ideal for hedging, screening, feature planting, large containers, and general garden use. Its naturally dense growth responds well to pruning, making it perfect for creating neat formal hedges or maintaining a compact shape in smaller spaces.

A fast-growing and eye-catching Lilly Pilly, Crimson Lights is loved for its glossy green foliage and vibrant crimson-red new growth that creates stunning colour contrast throughout the year.

Rhaphiolepis Snow Maiden provides a lovely contrast in the garden when in full bloom. Contrasting against the deep-green glossy oval leaves are the gorgeous clusters of snow-white, semi-double blossoms that appear from winter to spring. Hebe Inspiration is a fast-growing, evergreen, compact shrub that grows into a bun-shaped mound. It has glossy, dark green foliage and the new stems are purplish. Mauve flowers are borne in racemes in summer and cover the entire plant making a wonderful display. They are best seen when planted en masse and make an excellent low hedge and are ideal for lining long pathways and drives. Inspiration is a beautiful specimen for pots and planters, as well as rockeries where it fills in the dips between rocks perfectly. Snip off dead flowerheads and lightly prune after flowering.

Leucadendron Sixteen Candles is a garden spectacle with vibrant green foliage on pink stems. Place Midas Touch as a feature piece, or mass planting to make the most of such intense colour. Light prune after warmer months to promote growth habit
