Eucalyptus torquata, or Coral Gum, is a small, hardy, evergreen tree with rough grey-coloured bark and pendulous blue-green foliage. It has dazzling coral pink flower displays throughout spring and summer, and intricately- textured red flower buds and gumnuts. This outstanding ornamental eucalypt makes a wonderful street, paddock, shade or garden specimen tree that requires little to no maintenance and will attract birds and other nectar-feeding fauna to the garden in profusion.

Soil: Grows in a variety of soils including poor, rocky and shallow.
Conditions: Full sun or part shade. It tolerates dry summers and urban environments and is coast, salt, drought and moderately frost resistant.

Dianella Little Jess'™ is a very compact variety of native grass with a profusion of purple flowers in spring, and fresh green foliage year-round. The leaves are broader than other dianellas, making Little Jess perfect for borders and edgings, mass landscape planting, and containers. Remove old flowers and foliage to improve appearance, and apply fertiliser twice yearly or more often in poorer soils. 

Soil: Tolerates most soil types including sand or clay.

The Green Finger Lime is a unique Australian native citrus prized for its distinctive fruit and exceptional flavour. The slender, finger-shaped green fruits are filled with tiny, pearl-like segments that resemble caviar and burst with a refreshing sweet lime flavour. Fruit ripens from late spring through summer, typically between November and March, and should be left on the tree until fully mature, as it will not continue to ripen once picked. The vibrant citrus pearls are perfect for garnishing seafood, adding to summer drinks and desserts, or using in chutneys, jams and marmalades. With its attractive dense foliage and naturally compact habit, Green Finger Lime makes an excellent feature tree for the garden or a striking specimen in a large pot.

Soil: Plant in composted, well-draining soil. Mulch in spring and keep the soil moist in summer.
Conditions: Will perform best in a warm sheltered spot in full sun. Tolerant of frost and dry conditions.

The glorious red and cream winter flowering of lovely compact Grevillea Winter Delight brings a beautiful soft colour to the garden in the cold months. The fine, grey-green foliage of this low-mounding, compact native shrub provides interest when the plant is not in flower. The grevillea can be trimmed back behind the spent flowers once the danger of frost has finished for the year. Feed at the same time with a low phosphorus fertiliser. It is an excellent choice for mass planting, poolside, coastal gardens and pots.

Soil: Plant in well-drained soil, mulch well and water regularly until the plant is established.
Conditions: Warm, sunny position. Coastal and frost tolerant.

Known commonly as the Native Gardenia due to the scented, white starry flowers displayed on this evergreen rainforest tree, Atractocarpus fitzalanii (syn. Randia) is known for its beauty and fragrance. Considered a small tree, it can grow upwards of 5m in optimal conditions with a canopy forming habit. In a long flowering season covering spring to autumn, highly fragrant white flowers gleam against the glossy green foliage. The scented flowers are followed by an edible yellow fruit. Its hard-shelled fruits are 6-7cm in diameter, containing a pale, soft and sweet segmented fruit with many small white seeds. Similar to a mangosteen in size, shape and flavour, they may be enjoyed raw on their own or used in salads, tarts, cakes and other desserts. With regular pruning, the Native Gardenia may be kept in a pot or at shrub size, making it a fabulous display plant, particularly during flowering season.

Bush Tenacity is a vibrant kangaroo paw variety admired for its glowing yellow-gold flowers that sit proudly at the ends of strong, upright stems. The blooms are beautifully contrasted by vivid red stems covered in fine hairs, adding both colour depth and soft texture to the display. This striking combination creates a bold visual statement in the garden.
The strappy green foliage forms a tidy clump at the base, providing structure and contrast to the colourful flower spikes above. Its upright habit makes it particularly effective for mass planting, where the repeated bursts of golden colour create dramatic impact. Regular removal of spent flower stems will encourage continued blooming, and feeding with a low-phosphorus native fertiliser in spring will help maintain strong growth and abundant flowers.

An Australian native, Agonis flexuosa After Dark is a variety of the West Australian willow myrtle. This particular variety produces spectacularly lush foliage shaded a deep burgundy, changing with the season with flushes of bright claret and purple foliage - deepening to dark burgundy in winter. During late spring, it produces clusters of petite white flowers that peek through the dark foliage. After Dark can be used for screening, trimmed as a hedge, or as a feature tree. It has a fibrous root system so it makes a good tub or container plant.

Soil: Well-drained soils. Sandy soils will need additional compost to help hold moisture.
Conditions: Full sun. Grows well in most areas of Australia except for tropical and mountain zones. Coastal and frost tolerant to -3*C

The wild Australian native maidenhair species, Adiantum aethiopicum, is a tough species that grows well outdoors in moist, shaded locations. The foliage consists of fine, bright green fronds with small, fan-shaped leaflets arranged along dark, wiry stems. The fronds have a soft, feathery appearance and form a dense, spreading mat that remains green year-round in suitable conditions. Native Maidenhair Fern is versatile in landscaping, ideal for shaded garden beds, borders, or as a ground cover under trees. It also makes an excellent indoor plant, bringing a touch of greenery and elegance to indoor spaces. It can be used in hanging baskets, containers, or as part of a fernery. Fertilize lightly in spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer, and trim away any dead fronds to maintain a neat appearance.

Soil: Moist, well-draining, humus-rich soil.
Conditions: Thrives in shaded to partially shaded areas. While it is frost-tolerant, it performs best in frost-free climates. It requires high humidity and benefits from regular watering, especially during dry periods.
