Rainforest Pearl is a compact, evergreen finger lime with deep green, rounded foliage, thorny stems and a graceful, slightly weeping habit. Delicate white flowers tinged with pink appear in summer, followed by aromatic, finger-shaped fruit with attractive green to reddish skin. The fruit begins to ripen on the tree and reaches its full flavour after being picked and left for 5–10 days. Inside, each fruit is packed with tangy citrus pearls that burst with refreshing flavour, making them perfect for seafood, Asian-inspired dishes, desserts and cocktails. Well-suited to small gardens or containers, the dwarf Rainforest Pearl can be lightly pruned to maintain its shape. Trees typically begin producing fruit from the second autumn after planting, rewarding gardeners with a unique and delicious harvest.

Soil: Plant in composted, well-draining soil. Mulch in spring and keep the soil moist in summer. 
Conditions: It will do best in a warm, sheltered spot and can do well in dappled shade though will thrive in full sun. Tolerant of frost and dry conditions.

Bush Princess is a hardy, compact Kangaroo Paw that will grow in most locations. Throughout the warmer months dark pink paw flowers - each with a contrasting yellow-green centre - appear on strong, upright stems that contrast well with the green foliage. The flowers are nectar-rich and bird-attracting, and very popular for floral arrangements. It is suitable as a feature plant in a patio pot or in a sunny position in the garden. For best flowering remove the first flower spike to help stimulate new flower buds. Prune spent flowers and dead foliage regularly and this plant will reward your efforts.

Anigozanthos Bush Ballad is one of the most prolific, year-round flowering of all kangaroo paws. The bright red flowers make a dramatic statement as a feature plant in the garden, in rockeries and in mass planting. As with all kangaroo paws, it is a bird attractant and stunning as a cut flower. Remove spent flower stems at ground level as well as any blackened leaves. Feed with a good native in the warm months watering well afterwards.

Create a beautiful tall privacy screen using Waterhousea floribunda. Weeping Lilly Pilly has a lightly pendulous habit and attractive wavy-edged, vibrant green foliage. It flowers in summer with trusses of white fluffy flowers, followed by pale pink to pale green fruit. It makes a lovely specimen tree in large gardens or trim for an attractive hedge and boundary marker. Prune yearly to encourage dense growth

A medium-sized shrub native to north Queensland and Papua New Guinea, Tucker Bush - Antidesma Wild Currant produces ornamental displays of tasty berries growing in grape-like clusters. Tart and cranberry-like when young, maturing into a sweet dark fruit when ripe, the berries ripen unevenly along the stems meaning a long and fruitful harvest season can be enjoyed. Berries can be enjoyed raw or used in jams and jellies, sauces and syrups where their sweet and tart flavours go well with other fruits. Plants can be used as informal hedging where the dark green glossy leaves and compact growth habit make it an attractive feature.

Conditions: Full sun to part shade. Preferring a warmer climate, Wild Currants will grow in cooler climates but plants may not really thrive and produce as well as they could. Protect from frost.

Telopea Mallee Boy produces brilliant pink blooms throughout the spring months providing the garden with long displays of colour. Mallee Boy will bloom early in its establishment, often producing bold, big flowers within a year or two from planting. The waratah is a bird-attracting magnet providing a great food source for native birds. Feature specimen for gardens or containers. The blooms make stunning, long-lived cut flowers.

Soil: Plants are best grown in acidic soil with good drainage.
Conditions: Partial shade is best for this variety. Frost tolerant.

Isopogon cuneatus is an attractive, hardy upright native shrub with leathery dark green mature foliage with copper tones on newer leaves. It has an abundance of spectacular, drumstick-like pink coneflowers appearing from spring through to late summer. The flowers are followed by large globular seed heads which remain on the plant - giving it a decorative appearance even when not in bloom. It works well when used in informal hedging, mass plantings, specimen plants in gardens or pots and as cut flowers

An attractive, evergreen shrub Hardenbergia violacea Regent brings colour to the garden for months. It bears masses of blue-purple pea flowers in late winter to spring. During the warmer months, the dark green leathery foliage is a nice contrast in the garden. Mass planted, it will create a dense covering, or Regent can be cultivated into a low hedge. For compact growth prune regularly after flowering.
