Grevillea Poorinda Royal Mantle is a low-growing, prostrate, evergreen shrub adorned with toothbrush-type clusters of deep red flowers in late winter and spring. The mid-green leaves vary in shape - some are lobed and others have smooth margins. This grevillea is a fabulous ground cover and spills attractively over low walls. Fantastic for banks and in large landscaping areas, as it is very quick-growing and quite hardy.

Soil: Well-drained, acidic soil free of phosphorus.
Conditions: Full sun. Tolerant of frost, drought and snow.

Telopea Braidwood Brilliant is a compact, dense Waratah known for its striking deep red flowers that bloom in the spring. It certainly lives up to its name as it will happily scramble through other shrubs, and grow on fences with support and training. Banksia ericifolia Red Rover has stunning, deep red-terracotta cylindrical flowers up to 25cm long! It has an open habit with fine, heathery, pale green small leaves providing a colourful contrast to the show-stopping flowers. Jelly Baby Grevillea is a mounding, dense ground cover with soft grey-green foliage. Eucalyptus pulverulenta, or Baby Blue eucalyptus/ Silver Leaved Mountain Gum or Silver Dollar Gum, is a small to medium-sized tree with a dense crown of stunning silver-blue rounded leaves. Cream flowers are produced between May and November, followed by large cup-shaped gumnuts. In cultivation, the plant is pruned to encourage more juvenile foliage. This foliage is in demand by florists for backing in flower arrangements.
