Mikawa Yatsubusa is a stunning dwarf Japanese maple with marvellous structure, colour and dense foliage. This deciduous tree displays fresh-green foliage in summer and glowing scarlet leaves in autumn. As a feature, the leaves on this little dwarf overlap one another like shingles on a roof. Mikawa Yatsubusa does well in containers and is perfect as an ornamental tree or displayed in small gardens.

Soil: Moist, well-worked soil.
Conditions: Protect from midday heat and drying winds. Frost hardy.

Acer palmatum Osakazuki is a highly regarded Japanese Maple known for its elegant form and exceptional autumn colour. This deciduous tree develops a naturally open, graceful growth habit with plentiful bright green foliage throughout spring and summer. In autumn, the leaves transform into brilliant shades of glowing orange and fiery crimson, creating one of the most striking seasonal displays among Japanese maples. Small clusters of delicate red flowers appear in spring, adding subtle seasonal interest before the lush foliage fully develops. With its moderate size and refined branching structure, Osakazuki makes an excellent feature or shade tree for smaller gardens. It also provides beautiful contrast when planted among darker foliage plants or evergreens in the landscape.

Acer Palmatum Shaina is a vibrantly-coloured maple with upright branches covered in bright red leaves in spring, and dark maroon-red foliage in summer. This is a dense and compact cultivar, reaching around 3m in height with a nice globe shape. When grafted as a standard, it makes a colourful and elegant showpiece in the garden, courtyard or patio pot. It is necessary to lightly prune to keep the topiary form. For best leaf colour, it is advised to plant in partial shade.

Acer palmatum Red Pygmy is a fabulous dwarf ribbon-leaf maple with unusual foliage colour in spring. The leaves of this Japanese Maple are a deep red in spring and may become slightly greener through summer. Red Pygmy has a vibrant orange-red leaf colour in autumn. Suitable for small garden planting, courtyards and keeping in a pot

Acer palmatum, or the Japanese Maple, is a superb deciduous tree designed to bring a vibrant colour burst to the garden. The maple is famous for its brilliant autumn colours of red, yellow and orange, whilst the fresh green leaves arriving in spring complement the change of season. The Japanese Maple is a great feature tree for the garden, as well as providing excellent shade. This small tree does well as a bonsai, in containers and will benefit from twice-year feeding with liquid fertilizer and complete plant food.

Prunus x yedoensis, commonly called Yoshino cherry, is a graceful ornamental flowering cherry tree with a spreading, broad-rounded, open crown.  One of the earliest cherries to flower, Yoshino is a real traffic stopper with its floral display. On an established tree, the bare branches will be smothered with thousands of soft, pale-pink to white, fragrant blossoms that are a real sight to behold! Small black cherries are followed, which are bitter to humans but loved by birds. The serrated foliage is dark green in summer, turning a reddish-bronze to orange in autumn. Cherries are shallow-rooted and young trees will benefit from being mulched. Apply mulch in a ring around the tree base, keeping clear of the trunk.
 
Soil: Fertile, free-draining soil. If the soil is not free draining, plant the tree in a raised mound of soil and compost mix, to prevent water logging.
Conditions: Full sun. Tolerates heat and humidity, but not drought.

The Autumn Blaze maple tree - Acer x freemanii Jeffersred - is a large, showy deciduous tree suited for public spaces, avenue plantings, and medium to large properties. Stunning vibrant green, maple-shaped leaves in summer months, turn a deep red in the autumn, providing an expansive show of colour. It makes an excellent shade tree and is perfect as a statement piece in large parks. The leaves are toxic to livestock so it is not suitable for grazing paddocks.

Conditions: Drought tolerant, frost tolerant and prefers the full sun

Acer palmatum Seiryu is the only upright-growing cultivar in the Dissectum Group of Japanese maples. This attractive small tree features delicate, laceleaf foliage that transitions from yellowish-gold to crimson in autumn. Ideal for protected courtyards and small gardens. Its light green new growth offers a striking contrast against the older foliage, making it a standout selection for any garden.

Conditions: Prefers part shade and in a protected area from hot winds. Frost tolerant.
