Acacia iteaphylla, or Flinders Range Wattle, is a hardy ornamental shrub recommended for its form and foliage. It is used as a background plant in larger mixed plantings or grouped as a screen, shelter or wind-break in wider verges, and parks. As with all wattles, the acacia attracts native birds and insects. The wattle is successfully used for soil stabilisation, and it is recommended to prune after flowering.

Tibouchina Jazzie is an autumn-flowering dwarf shrub with masses of large rich purple blooms during autumn, opening from pink-red buds. This evergreen tree can grow to 2 metres when left unchecked, and pruning is recommended to keep it shaped. Jazzie is suited to feature planting, hedges and containers.

Syzygium Crimson Lights is a fast-growing, attractive lilly pilly with shiny green foliage and brilliant bright crimson new growth. The lilly pilly produces fluffy white flowers in the summer months, followed by red-purple berries. The strong contrast between old and new growth ensures Crimson Lights will be a great feature plant, screen, hedge, and topiary plant. As with all lilly pillys, it responds well to pruning. Mulch well to cut down weed problems, and feed with a good all-purpose fertiliser in warm months.

Syzygium Cheetah is a fast-growing evergreen native shrub with glossy, deep green leaves and eye-catching new red foliage. It has feathery, creamy white flowers in spring to summer, followed by pink-purple, fleshy edible berries. It makes a great hedge, screen and windbreak plant.

Rhaphiolepis Snow Maiden provides a lovely contrast in the garden when in full bloom. Pink Queen lavender, Lavendula pedunculata, shows off large winged flowers of deep pink/purple, crowned with light pink feathery bracts from spring through to autumn. The compact evergreen shrub has fragrant grey/green foliage and grows in a delightful rounded shape. Pink Queen is ideal as an informal hedge, as a border and grows beautifully in pots and containers. Prune lightly after flowering to maintain a compact shape.
