Grevillea

Grevillea Mello Yellow is a spectacular form of the woolly grevillea which is a superb plant for cooler climates such as the southern states of Australia. Mello Yellow is a reliable evergreen with deep-green narrow leaves and a neat compact growth habit. Pale, custard-yellow flowers appear in autumn and continue blooming through to mid-spring.
It's a little shy to flower when young, compared to other mini grevilleas, but worth the wait for the unusual flower colour. Mello Yellow is happy in coastal and seaside gardens, windy locations, rockeries as well as window boxes and containers. Once established it is a very low-maintenance plant drawing bees and native birds to the garden.

The glorious red and cream winter flowering of lovely compact Grevillea Winter Delight brings a beautiful soft colour to the garden in the cold months. The fine, grey-green foliage of this low-mounding, compact native shrub provides interest when the plant is not in flower. The grevillea can be trimmed back behind the spent flowers once the danger of frost has finished for the year. Feed at the same time with a low phosphorus fertiliser. It is an excellent choice for mass planting, poolside, coastal gardens and pots.

Grevillea Strawberry Smoothie is a small spreading shrub that produces a spectacular mass display of strawberry-coloured flowers from late autumn to early spring. The stunning flowers attract nectar-feeding birds and are excellent for cutting. Strawberry Smoothie is dense in habit and is ideal for rockeries, containers, mass plantings, and native gardens. Prune well after flowering to maintain a compact shape.

Grevillea Jingle Bells is a hardy, spreading Australian native that forms a dense, dome-shaped shrub with attractive, prickly bi-pinnate foliage. From winter through spring, it produces an abundance of large, vibrant red toothbrush-shaped flowers that provide a spectacular display while attracting nectar-feeding birds and pollinators to the garden. Its naturally compact habit makes it an excellent choice for feature planting, native gardens, decorative pots or planted in pairs for a striking effect. Low maintenance and drought tolerant once established, Jingle Bells responds well to a light trim after flowering to maintain its neat, rounded shape.

The West Coast native- Grevillea Silk Carpet - is just as happy rambling down a bank in Bendigo or Byron as it is in Bunbury. Its long, slender stems are tipped with fat, firework-like flowers in spring, with sporadic blooms appearing throughout the year. These pinkish-red rounded flower clusters, each finished with long lime-green to yellow tips, are irresistible to local honeyeaters and add lively movement to the garden. The fine, slender foliage creates a soft, cascading effect, making this groundcover easy to place among both native and exotic plantings. It excels in native and wildlife gardens, coastal landscapes, and anywhere a dense, soil-holding groundcover is needed.
