Grevillea

Grevillea Honey Barbara is a stunning shrub with honey-orange flowers that are tipped with yellow. It blooms all year round on a relatively compact shrub and attracts nectar-feeding birds to your garden. You can use it as a screen as it has lush foliage that reaches the ground, providing a beautiful wall of fluorescent blooms. After each major flush of blooms, make sure to trim it back lightly behind the spent flower heads and feed it with an Australian native fertiliser.

Soil: Tolerates loam, clay and sand as long as it is well-drained.
Conditions: Full or partial sun. Drought, light frost tolerant.

A superb, hardy, evergreen Australian native shrub, the Gin Gin Gem is a low, dense grevillea with vibrant lime foliage and small spider-type red and cream flowers that attract honey bees and small nectar-feeding birds. It makes an ideal groundcover for embankments and rockeries and brings bright splashes of colour to the garden from late autumn through winter and spring. Prune lightly after flowering for an even more dense habit, and feed in spring.

Grevillea Hills Jubilee is a small, attractive shrub with fine green foliage and abundant spider-like flowers in beautiful pink and white. Hills Jubilee is a lovely grevillea to add to your garden as it attracts nectar-feeding birds and bees. Ideal for low, neat hedging in narrow areas or attractive as massed plantings in broader landscapes. Pruning after flowering will promote further flowering, dense habit and control growth. Each 3-4 years, a hard prune will result in a fresh flush of flowers and foliage.

Soil: Well-drained clay loams or sandy soil with a neutral to acid pH.
Conditions: Full sun. Drought and frost tolerant.

Grevillea Caloundra Gem is a medium to tall shrub with deeply divided, mid-green leaves. Large, pale-pink brush flowers bloom throughout the year to stunning contrast, only further complimented by the fact that Caloundra Gem is a low-maintenance, fast-growing plant once established. This brilliant bird-attracting shrub will make an excellent addition to any garden or landscape. Prune when young for a bushy, compact growth.
