Miscanthus sinensis Kleine Fontaine is a lovely compact grass that forms dense clumps of narrow silver foliage. The silver leaves have white midribs and turn to straw-yellow in autumn. Summer to autumn Kleine Fontaine is freely crowned with creamy-pink feather-like blooms – the colouring changes in the light and as they mature. It is absolutely fabulous in drifts as part of lawn schemes, in clumps in cottage gardens, in pots, massed displays or along fence lines. Cut back late winter or early spring to allow the new foliage to shine through.

Growing approx 4x4m and beautifully shaped, Profusion Crab Apple makes an excellent small shade tree for small yards as well as a showy feature tree when in flower. As per its name, it has an absolute abundance of pink/red flowers in spring. As the flowers fade and fall, shiny green leaves remain and bring this tree to life. These lovely, oval leaves turn a golden copper in autumn and bright red crab apples take over the show. These little pops of red can be left alone to admire or if you're more adventurous, you can make crab apple jelly/jam with them.

Magnolia Exmouth is a larger-growing evergreen tree featuring showy, creamy-white fragrant blooms and large glossy, dark green leaves with a contrasting velvety copper underside. This hardy variety has good heat tolerance making it suitable for a range of climatic conditions. A highly versatile and striking addition to the garden, it may be used as a hedge, in a container, or as a specimen tree creating an eye-catching focal point. Limonium perezii Elite Blue is a hardy evergreen perennial with large leathery leaves. Elite Blue features tall clusters of tiny, blue-purple flowers that are produced throughout much of the year. The ornamental foliage is evergreen and forms an attractive, rounded mound. Elite Blue is excellent as a cut flower making it widely desired for use in both fresh and dried bouquets. Limonium is excellent for coastal planting and makes a terrific border plant where the tall flower stems will attract butterflies to your garden. Deadhead old flower stems to encourage new buds. Divide the plant every three years or so to retain its vigour.
