Pittosporum tenuifolium Green Pillar is a fast-growing, attractive evergreen shrub. It displays shiny. lime green leaves resting upon almost black stems. The flowers, albeit small and dark crimson, do have a honey-like scent in the spring. Its compact growing habit makes it useful for both garden beds and a decorative subject in a patio pot or container. When planting in a hedge it is best to space them 1m apart. We recommend a twice-yearly tip prune - to promote lateral growth. 


Soil: It requires good drainage but grows well in most soils.

A stunning feature plant providing structure and colour year-round, Loropetalum Plum Gorgeous lives up to its name. Maintaining a naturally dense, domed habit with deep purple foliage, it is covered with masses of vivid hot pink, sweetly scented, tasselled flowers during spring and autumn and sporadically through the year. Ideal for garden beds, rock gardens, hedges, as a feature, edging and pots.

Cornus Eric Gennett is a beautiful hybrid of Japanese dogwood and evergreen dogwood. This rare dogwood is a stunning, semi-deciduous tree producing a display of delightful, large four-petaled white and pink flowers. In spring through to summer, the flowers are a creamy white and slowly change into a delicate pink as they mature. Pink, strawberry-like fruits arrive late in summer, attracting an abundance of birdlife to the garden. Eric Gennett’s lush green foliage will turn fiery oranges, reds and pinks in autumn but will keep most of these leaves in mild climates. In cold climates, these leaves will drop and buds will be ready to sprout in spring.

Cedrus atlantica, commonly known as Atlas Cedar, is a stately evergreen conifer initially conical in shape and then developing a broad crown in maturity. Wide spreading branches are covered with attractive, silvery blue-green needles and attractive pine cone seeds. The Atlas Cedar produces an aromatic oil that is a natural insect deterrent. Ideally planted as a specimen tree.

Soil: Prefers moist, well-drained, deep loamy soil but tolerates clay soil.
Conditions: Full sun. Heat, coastal, frost and drought tolerant. Protect from hot winds.

English Box (Buxus sempervirens) is an evergreen, hardy, small to medium size hedge. It is dense growing with small deep green foliage which makes pruning easy as the plant looks neat immediately afterwards. English Box is often used to create a formal garden, clipped to all shapes of topiaries and suitable for pots.The best height for English box is between 0.5m and 1 metre as the taller it grows it can lose its neat, dense shape. Fertilise during spring and prune as required to maintain form.

Soil: Well-drained soil. Mulch and water well when planting. Continue to water regularly for the first 12 weeks or until the plant is established.

Protea Stately is a beautiful small tree that reveals magnificent deep pink winter blooms. The protea flowers from autumn to spring providing a stunning splash of colour to the garden during the colder months and supply food for birds and bees.
