Protea cynaroides Madiba

Madiba is a King Protea that produces a beautiful display of stunning red-pink long-stemmed flowers during winter and spring. It is the intricate pattern created by the outer bracts and the inner stamens that combine to create one of nature's gems. Madiba is low maintenance and is equally at home in display pots or garden beds. The flowers are a treasure in the garden, on the patio and in flower arrangements.

Soil: Well-drained soils. If you have clay soils, use mounds to plant into to facilitate drainage.
Conditions: Sunny open position. These plants are moderately frost, coast and drought-tolerant.
