Dating back to the 1800s, Marsh is a popular heirloom grapefruit and is the father of many modern hybrids because of its large, slightly sweet seedless fruit. Marsh is a large, compact, attractive, evergreen tree with glossy, dark green leaves and fragrant, creamy-white blossoms. It is a heavy-yielding grapefruit with a round, flattened shape ripening in autumn and winter, with a fruit that is both sweet and acidic. Use as a feature tree in Mediterranean-style gardens or as an ornamental tree. The fruit is highly nutritious, rich in vitamin C, refreshing and excellent for juicing, breakfast or marmalades. Protect from strong winds, especially during flowering or while the fruit is forming.

Conditions: Full sun. Best suited to hot, inland climates but will crop in other areas.

Carex oshimensis Everest is a beautiful compact growing grass with snowy white and green strappy leaves. It has a flowing habit, forming a neat mound and makes an eye-catching display in the shady parts of your garden landscape. Everest makes a fantastic ground cover or as edging with its crisp and distinctive white and green foliage. It is very low maintenance and only needs an occasional tidy-up of old leaves every now and then.

Adenanthos sericeus Silver Lining PBR, or Prostrate Woolly Bush, is a very attractive native ground cover that will easily find a place in any landscape. Fine, silvery grey foliage that is both soft in appearance and to touch, is the hallmark of this variety. Adenanthos Silver Lining PBR is a Australian native and a versatile low-growing choice to highlight other bold coloured plants in the garden.

Acacia terminalis, commonly known as Sunshine Wattle, is an excellent choice for flower gardens, bringing vibrant colour during the colder months with its long flowering period. Lavandula dentata, or French Lavender, is a gorgeously fragrant shrub with aromatic silver-grey foliage and spikes of fragrant purple blooms. The leaves and dried flowers are used extensively in dried herbs for medicinal purposes and international cuisine. After the autumnal flowering, cut the plant back to one-fourth of its original height. It is a versatile plant, suitable for container planting, rockeries, garden beds and as a border plant.

Heuchera Forever Red is a herbaceous perennial grown for its large ruffled leaves and bright, uniquely coloured foliage. The stunning leaves are an intense red, and they become even redder in the colder months! If you want an instant pop of colour, or to add a tropical flavour to a cold-climate garden, this is perfect. Forever Red provides contrast in the garden - in borders or mixed plantings, mass planted on a bank, used as a groundcover, or included in cottage gardens.

Soil: Moist but well-drained soil. Plant heucheras slightly proud of the soil, so the centre of the plant is raised above the soil level.
Conditions: Plant in part sun to dappled shade to full shade. Frost hardy.

A delightful compact form of Polygala, Dazzler displays dark green foliage with soft oval leaves and produces attractive purple pea flowers for most of the year. Sometimes known as Dwarf Sweet Pea Shrub, Dazzler is low maintenance and quite hardy. It is a very versatile garden plant - plant it as a small hedge, or create a decorative pot for the verandah. Prune in early spring to encourage bushiness and flowering and fertilise with a long-term slow-release fertiliser.
