Azalea hybrida Candy Stripe

Azalea Candy Stripe has striking cream blooms laced with pink edges and stamens. It has a dense, compact, round form with a slow to moderate growth rate. Candy Stripe works well mass planted under trees or as a specimen plant, potted in courtyards, entertaining areas or to frame an entrance. Kurumes are often used in Japanese-style gardens where they are clipped into gorgeous flowering mounds. Prune after flowering to maintain a compact shape, mulch well during extended dry periods and fertilise with an azalea-specific or a complete organic fertiliser in spring and late summer.

Soil: Well-drained, humus-rich soil that is slightly acidic.
Conditions: Part to full shade.
