The Dwarf Kumquat is an ideal patio citrus with great foliage, compact habit and small, bright orange fruit through winter. A beautiful combination of sweet and bitter, Nagami can be eaten whole off the tree. The rind is smooth and sweet - eat the fruit whole or use in preserves, marmalades and liquors. Citrus are well suited to pot culture and it is recommended to use good quality potting mix. Fertilise monthly with a complete, slow-release, pelleted fertiliser all year round. Conditions: Suits a prominently sunny position. Shelter from strong winds. They prefer a frost-free environment although it will tolerate light frost once established.

Sugar Bubba produces the most exquisite mini mandarins! The attractive small tree produces fragrant white flowers in the spring followed by bright orange mandarins. Mouthwateringly sweet and juicy, easy to peel and seedless, the adorable fruits grow to the size of a ping-pong ball, making this variety an ideal citrus plant for small gardens, courtyards, pots and containers. Features glossy, dark green leaves that provide a vibrant backdrop for the brightly coloured fruit and fragrant blossoms.

Naturally Dwarf, Little Ruby is a compact growing shrub with deep green, rounded foliage and thorny stems. Little Ruby displays pale white-pink flowers in summer, followed by aromatic, green, finger-shaped fruits. Little Ruby will begin to ripen but not fully on the tree. Once picked, leave the fruit for five to ten days to completely ripen. Inside the fruits are filled with small pale red pearls of tangy juice, which have a wonderful texture and flavour. This fruit is great in summer drinks and desserts, and may also be used in chutneys, jams and marmalades. Both juice and pulp go well with fresh oysters, fish and calamari. As the tree has a slight weeping habit, it can be pruned to shape. Trees will begin to produce fruit from the second autumn of planting.

Soil: Plant in composted, well-draining soil. Mulch in spring and keep the soil moist in summer.
Conditions: It will do best in a warm, sheltered spot and can do well in dappled shade though will thrive in full sun. Tolerant of frost and dry conditions.

Originating from the famous Knott's Berry Farm in California, the superb hybrid Rubus ursinus x. idaeus Boysenberry is a complicated cross between a blackberry, loganberry, dewberry and raspberry!  It is vigorous and a prolific cropper. White flowers in early spring are followed by large firm conical dark purple blackberries. The fruit is round to oblong in shape and dark purple in colour. They have a unique flavour that combines the tartness from good old-fashioned wild blackberries with a sweet hint of raspberry. Train on wires as you would raspberries, as a fan, or even over an arch. Prune after harvesting in summer or autumn, by cutting the fruited canes down to the ground. When the new canes start growing the following spring and summer, tie them onto their supports. Self-fertile

Persea Wurtz, also known as Little Cado, is the smallest growing avocado variety, making it the perfect choice for compact gardens, courtyards, and large pots. Its naturally compact size and graceful weeping habit create an attractive feature tree, while producing medium-sized, green pear-shaped fruit with rich, creamy flesh that is widely regarded as one of the finest-flavoured avocados. An 'A' type flowering variety, Wurtz benefits from a compatible 'B' type pollinator, such as Fuerte or Sharwil, to improve fruit set and increase yields, although it can produce some fruit on its own.

Prunus salicina Santa Rosa Dwarf is a prolific bearer, producing a large amount of delightfully sweet plums with dark red skin and yellow to pink flesh. The plum tree will mature between 3-5 years, and its plums are great for stewing, preserving, making jams, cooking, or eating fresh from the tree. Additionally, Santa Rosa is self-fertile, making it a sweet and convenient addition to your garden.

Goji Berry is a long-lived, deciduous perennial native to the Himalayas and Inner Mongolia, where it has been valued as a food and medicinal plant for thousands of years. The plant develops a woody trunk with multiple fruit-bearing branches, producing small, shiny red oval berries through summer and autumn. The berries contain edible seeds and have a juicy, tangy flavour, often compared to cranberries or tart plums. Goji Berry has a naturally sprawling growth habit and responds well to pruning after fruiting, helping to maintain a more compact and manageable shape while encouraging productive new growth.

Kalamata is one of the most popular varieties of table olive. The well-rounded tree has dark glossy green leaves with silver-grey undersides, and the trunks are irregularly shaped and an attractive grey. Green olives are picked before ripening occurs, whilst black ones are harvested once the olive fruit is fully mature and at maximum ripeness. All olives are cured by fermentation to remove their bitterness. The kalamata olive tree looks spectacular as a feature specimen, lining an avenue and thrives in pots on balconies, patios and verandahs.
